Centered Cigna Provider IOP Program Georgia

Exciting News: Centered Is Now In-Network with Cigna!

Centered Is Now In-Network with Cigna!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news that we have been eagerly waiting to announce—Centered is officially in-network with Cigna! This is a major milestone in our treatment mission to make mindfulness-based, non-12-step addiction and mental health care more accessible to individuals and families across Georgia. For current and future clients, this new partnership with Cigna means greater ease, affordability, and peace of mind when seeking high-quality treatment for substance use and mental health concerns.

What Does It Mean to Be In-Network?

Being an in-network program means that Centered and Cigna have agreed to provide services at the in-network rates. This is great news for clients! You can attend our program for lower out-of-pocket costs and have a more streamlined communication between your Cigna as the insurance provider and Centered as the health provider.

For Cigna policyholders, this means:

  • More affordable treatment through reduced copays, deductible amounts, and coinsurance.
  • Simplified billing with fewer reimbursement forms or surprises.
  • Direct access to Centered’s full program, including our mindfulness-based intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment programs.

We are aware that oftentimes a significant barrier to accessing treatment is working with insurance companies, and we cannot agree more that this should be a hurdle that we can tackle for you as much as possible. That’s why we’ve worked diligently behind the scenes to make this partnership a reality for our current and future clients!

What If About Other Insurance Providers?

While we’re now happily in-network with Cigna, we recognize that many of our clients have coverage through other insurance providers such as Aetna or Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), as well as many others. Currently, Centered remains out-of-network with these insurance providers. However, that doesn’t mean treatment is unavailable!

As an out-of-network insurance provider, Centered can still work with clients who have PPO plans through Aetna, BCBS, or other insurance carriers. These plans often include out-of-network benefits, meaning clients may be eligible for partial reimbursement for the care they receive at our facility. Our team is always available to verify your insurance plan benefits and explain your coverage, and help navigate your options to make treatment as affordable as possible!

What’s the Difference: In-Network vs. Out-of-Network

Let’s break down the difference between in-network and out-of-network benefits so that you can make the best decision for your care:

In-network coverage typically includes lower copays, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts, direct billing, pre-authorization by the provider, as well as easier access to begin treatment. Out-of-network coverage may include higher out-of-pocket costs to the client and require upfront payment for deductibles and copays before filing for reimbursement.

While both options can provide access to quality care, being with an in-network provider often removes many of the financial and logistical hurdles that stand in the way of starting treatment.

So, Why Does This Matter to Centered?

At Centered, we believe that financial limitations should never be the reason someone does not receive treatment. Our mindfulness-based, non-12-step approach is a powerful alternative to traditional treatment, helping clients gain insight, build emotional resilience, and develop lifelong skills for recovery. As one of the only in-network providers of this treatment philosophy, we are proud to provide a program that’s not only clinically effective but also financially accessible to more individuals and families through insurance partnerships with Cigna and more in the future!

More In the Future: What’s Next For Other Insurances at Centered

The good news doesn’t stop with Cigna. We’re actively working on becoming in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and other major insurance companies to better serve our community. These processes take time, but our team is dedicated to expanding access and helping more individuals find meaningful, sustainable recovery.

We’ll continue to share updates as these partnerships are finalized, so be sure to follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay informed.

What Does Centered Offer For Treatment?

Centered Recovery is a mindfulness-based, non-12-step mental health and drug abuse treatment and education program offering outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization services to the state of Georgia. Our program combines traditional mental health therapies through one-on-one counseling and completely innovative program which was specifically designed to help our clients realize their own innate health to overcome even the toughest addictions and create healthy, balanced lives. We believe that support, understanding and compassion are key to helping clients find a permanent, lasting solution that comes from within.

Our mindfulness-based program is also an incredibly effective treatment for clients struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout. Mindfulness has been shown to greatly impact these mental health issues, which are very often linked to substance or alcohol use. You can participate in our Intensive Education program and keep your current therapist relationship, or we can provide individual counseling sessions along with our program to help you work through individual issues one-on-one.

That’s Not All…. Centered Has Online Treatment!

Centered also offers a comprehensive online IOP treatment program for clients! We introduced our online program in January of 2019, so our facilitators and therapists are already well-versed in how to provide quality virtual programming services to our clients, no matter where they may be located. Our online program is easy to participate in from any phone, smartphone, or computer, right from the comfort and safety of your own home! Multiple cameras capture different angles so you can view the facilitator at all times, as well as class participants if needed.

Our microphones don’t miss a sound whether there’s an intense discussion into acceptance or a beautiful note played during our meditative sound bath. Interactive SMART TV’s allow our facilitators to use a digital whiteboard that is highly visible by both in person as well as virtual participants. Digital projectors capture hand outs and literature so that you can read along with the group with ease.

Choosing Your Level of Care at Centered

If you’re considering treatment at Centered Recovery, you might be wondering – What are my options? We’re here to break it all down so you can make the best decision for your recovery journey. Here’s an overview of the different levels of care we currently offer:

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our most intensive level of care—without needing to stay overnight. Despite the name, PHP is not a hospital stay—it’s still outpatient care. But it is our highest level of clinical support. PHP includes:

  • 30 hours per week of structured group therapy and individual counseling
  • Offered Monday–Friday, typically 9 AM–4 PM (with evening options available)
  • Weekly individual therapy with a licensed counselor
  • Weekly check-ins with our medical staff
  • Random drug screenings at least once per week

This level is ideal for those just starting treatment, especially after detox or residential care. Clients may stay in PHP for 1–12 weeks, depending on their needs, insurance, and schedule. You can live at home or in a sober living environment during PHP.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

A flexible, supportive next step in your recovery. IOP offers structured support without the full-time commitment of PHP. It includes:

  • 9–15 hours per week of group therapy (3–5 days per week)
  • Weekly individual therapy with a licensed counselor
  • Monthly medical check-ins with our medical staff
  • Random drug screenings at least once per week

IOP is a great option for those transitioning from higher levels of care or needing more flexibility due to work, family, or school. It typically lasts 4–12 weeks, and you can continue living at home or in sober living.

Outpatient Program (OP)

Ongoing support as you transition back to daily life. OP is our most flexible clinical program, offering continued care with less intensity. It includes:

  • 3–6 hours per week of group therapy (1-2 days per week)
  • 1–2 individual sessions per month with a licensed counselor
  • Random drug screenings at least once per month

This level is perfect for maintaining progress while re-establishing your everyday routine. Many clients stay in OP for several months or even years. It’s similar to physical therapy after surgery—ongoing support helps ensure long-term success.

Educational Program (EDU)

Personal growth on your own terms. Our EDU program is the most flexible option and does not include clinical care or medical oversight. It’s perfect for clients who:

  • Already have a personal therapist
  • Don’t need additional medical monitoring
  • Want access to our groups without committing to a full program

Choose what works for you: attend all groups each week, join once a week, or use “group passes” over six months. This level is about learning, support, and maintaining momentum—your way.
