 My experience at Centered has been life-altering to a level far beyond my original expectations.  This place illegally withdrew money from my account after i got discharged from the program, several months later they call me asking about checks. i had no idea what they were talking about because my insurance always pay my bill they never send me checks unless i file a claim. I usually throw away mail that has my insurance name on it because i assume it’s just another bill since i am pregnant i go to a lot of appointments and they send mail like every week and i just started throwing mail away. So they didn’t get paid from my insurance and they took it out my account which is not legal because it should have been sent to collections. i would never recommend anyone here or do business here again.

They help foster personal connections and growth in their group setting, while also helping each individual learn how to best manage their sobriety. The virtual IOP option makes the treatment more convenient, but does not lessen the effectiveness. Reed, Krista and their team have been an absolute God send to me and my family.  I was in IOP at centered recovery about a year ago. At the time, I didn’t feel others could feel how I did. I remember when I was discharged, being told to call if I ever needed help. I didn’t think that was a genuine so I buried it away in my memory banks as an automated response. However, to my surprise.. I needed a little guidance, and I remembered that offer over a year ago.  I have been involved in a couple of different approaches to recovery - I can truly say that Centered's approach has easily been the best and most effective for me. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the ideas and teachings I have learned here have been life changing. Unlike other (e.g. 12 step) approaches to recovery that teach the individual to view themselves as an addict, the curriculum that Reed and team have put together focus on the underlying processes and mechanics that are at the root of all addictions. A surprisingly little amount of time is actually spent talking about addiction directly, because the program is more broad and provides clients with a holistic new way of being in the world. Recovery from addiction is a natural secondary effect from this learning, but clients can expect to see meaningful improvements in nearly every aspect of their lives on their path to a life of greater peace and ease. The curriculum draws from numerous sources and is not dogmatic or limited by orthodoxy. Meditation, mindfulness, and a better understanding of one's true "self" stand out as cornerstones of the approach at Centered. I recommend Centered, without caveat, to anyone struggling with addiction, behavioral challenges, or mental health issues.

 I loved the Centered approach to group recovery! So warm and welcoming. They leaned towards healing deep trauma as well as practical strategies for staying abstinent from substances.  The ideal place for when nothing else worked or if you’re not sure what will. Having been to AA and more than a couple of therapists, the standardized program for sobriety was not giving me hope to breaking a cycle.  If you’re serious about changing your life and don’t like the idea of introducing yourself daily as an alcoholic or addict, religious undertones, or having your progress chip taken away, which to me, seems very counterintuitive, this is only the place to turn. Every member of their team absolutely and genuinely cares while taking the approach of mindfulness, meditation and just getting past the stressful thoughts which, in my opinion, are likely the basis for falling into the trap of addiction. My first time around, I was pushed into it with very little success, but when I was truly ready to make a change on my own, I definitely knew where to turn and found 100% success even though the many outside difficulties in my life. I can’t begin to thank them enough for their compassion, philosophy and undying support… pics are from beginning to end of the 12 week program. I’m very proud of physical and mental changes I was able to make.

 Before I am critical of the program I do want to say that they helped save my life and get me into detox and started giving me tools for my recovery, but I needed more than this program had to offer. I went to Centered Recovery 5 years ago and did not stay clean long after. Part of it was because I was not really ready to quit, but part of it was because Centered Recovery made me think I could do it on my own (I cannot do it on my own, history has proven that). I do a 12 step program now and it works for me. I’m not here to preach AA but I am here to say that I think it was wrong for them not to encourage me to try every tool out there and find a system that works for me. I also got the vibe from Centered that if I meditated, my obsessive compulsive thoughts would go away. (They never go away completely, I have an incurable disease that is still present even in sobriety) Meditation is a tool in my tool box now however meditation doesn’t always save my life and I needed to find more tools. Centered should have encouraged me to find more tools and also to reach out to other alcoholics who I could relate to. I’m 4 years clean today but I have only been able to stay clean by doing something for my sobriety every day. I needed to find something for after I graduated and I learned that the hard way. I think it should have been stressed that outpatient is just the start of a long road ahead, there is no graduation if you really have the disease. I am grateful there are options out there besides 12 step groups, but this one wasn’t what I needed at the time. If you are struggling I encourage you to try everything you can until you find what works for you.

 I've had a pretty rocky path to recovery including two separate month + long stints in Inpatient Care. Centered was really the beginning of the end with my relationship with substance abuse. I still had a few relapses in their IOP program but with the staff's help each one was a step closer to reducing the condition's hold on me. They always have my best interest at heart and have gone above and beyond ensuring I have the care I need. It's different than a traditional AA-type program so if you want a more out of the box approach to recovery I highlight recommend them!

 Centered has changed my life. Their mindfulness-based approach has allowed me to tackle my struggles head-on in a manner that enlightened me about who I really am. This has led me to find true inward happiness and live a life free of fear of being haunted by my prior struggles. The integrated approach incorporates a dynamic spectrum of mind, body, spirit, and nutritional elements which have all been critical in my recovery. Through the tools I learned, I now live a conscious life in which my decisions are insightful and I can manage any internal conflict that arises without turning to what I previously thought were solutions to numb the conflict.  Awareness of impressions is something I’ve never really looked into. Reed has opened my eyes to that. I never really took into consideration that I wasn’t very aware of my decisions and would just do whatever I was thinking without really thinking about what I was doing. I have learned to try and listen more and talk less. Thoughts are just thoughts. They most definitely make you aware but they can also have an affect on your decisions if not thought threw. Reed has made all of this very viable in my life. Resolution of conflict can be very confusing when you’re a parent. When I tell my children something and they don’t agree, or they say I’m wrong by looking up if my answer is correct or not I would get angry. Reed has taught me to except the fact that I may be wrong and to reset and understand that the correct answer is what is important. It is important enough to look at my children and say thank you, I did not know that and I’m glad to know it now and move on. Before I would get insulted and act foolishly toward my children and make it out to be more than it needed to be. Reed has been able to show me conflict has a resolution. Choose the Right Level of Care

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our IOP is less intensive than PHP and includes 3-5 days of group sessions (9-15 hours per week) plus at least one hour of therapy each week. It follows the same check-in and testing guidelines as PHP.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our PHP is the highest level of care at our Atlanta drug rehab facility. Even though it’s called ‘hospitalization,’ it’s still an outpatient program. Clients spend 30 hours a week in group recovery sessions and individual therapy with a licensed clinician. Most sessions are during our regular hours of 9 AM to 4 PM, but some evening sessions are also available.

We recommend PHP for people who have recently finished detox or inpatient treatment. You can do PHP for 1 to 12 weeks, depending on your insurance, mental health needs, schedule, and budget. There are weekly medical check-ins and random drug screenings to help you stay on track.

Outpatient Program (OP)

Our standard OP is the lowest level of outpatient rehab at Centered Recovery. It includes 1-2 days of 90-minute group sessions each week and 1-2 one-hour therapy sessions. Even if this is your only option right now, it’s still important to be involved in addiction recovery education atlanta with a licensed professional.

It is also recommended for those on the tail-end of their treatment, but are still looking to maintain their sobriety with clinical care. Our addiction treatment center in Atlanta is here to help you return to a new normal. While clients at this level of care are encouraged to live at home, we offer a safe space for them to continue their recovery.

Outpatient Program

Educational Program (EDU)

This level does not include clinical care. Clients can participate in our group sessions at a time that fits their schedule, with no time commitment. Choose between all 13 of our groups each week for 12 weeks, attend one group per week, or purchase our group passes, which can be used anytime within a 6-month period. This is our most flexible option for those not at a high-risk level of treatment necessity. Please contact us to learn more about our EDU tier.

Virtual Outpatient Program

The Virtual Outpatient Program provides structured care from home through scheduled online groups and licensed clinician support. It works for people balancing work, school, or family responsibilities. You attend sessions online, follow a weekly schedule, and practice coping skills between visits. This program also treats co-occurring anxiety and depression when present.
