 This place illegally withdrew money from my account after i got discharged from the program, several months later they call me asking about checks. i had no idea what they were talking about because my insurance always pay my bill they never send me checks unless i file a claim. I usually throw away mail that has my insurance name on it because i assume it’s just another bill since i am pregnant i go to a lot of appointments and they send mail like every week and i just started throwing mail away. So they didn’t get paid from my insurance and they took it out my account which is not legal because it should have been sent to collections. i would never recommend anyone here or do business here again.

 I was in IOP at centered recovery about a year ago. At the time, I didn’t feel others could feel how I did. I remember when I was discharged, being told to call if I ever needed help.  I have been involved in a couple of different approaches to recovery - I can truly say that Centered's approach has easily been the best and most effective for me. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the ideas and teachings I have learned here have been life changing. Unlike other (e.g. 12 step) approaches to recovery that teach the individual to view themselves as an addict, the curriculum that Reed and team have put together focus on the underlying processes and mechanics that are at the root of all addictions. A surprisingly little amount of time is actually spent talking about addiction directly, because the program is more broad and provides clients with a holistic new way of being in the world. Recovery from addiction is a natural secondary effect from this learning, but clients can expect to see meaningful improvements in nearly every aspect of their lives on their path to a life of greater peace and ease. The curriculum draws from numerous sources and is not dogmatic or limited by orthodoxy.  If you’re serious about changing your life and don’t like the idea of introducing yourself daily as an alcoholic or addict, religious undertones, or having your progress chip taken away, which to me, seems very counterintuitive, this is only the place to turn. Every member of their team absolutely and genuinely cares while taking the approach of mindfulness, meditation and just getting past the stressful thoughts which, in my opinion, are likely the basis for falling into the trap of addiction. My first time around, I was pushed into it with very little success, but when I was truly ready to make a change on my own, I definitely knew where to turn and found 100% success even though the many outside difficulties in my life. I can’t begin to thank them enough for their compassion, philosophy and undying support… pics are from beginning to end of the 12 week program.  Before I am critical of the program I do want to say that they helped save my life and get me into detox and started giving me tools for my recovery, but I needed more than this program had to offer. I went to Centered Recovery 5 years ago and did not stay clean long after. Part of it was because I was not really ready to quit, but part of it was because Centered Recovery made me think I could do it on my own (I cannot do it on my own, history has proven that). I do a 12 step program now and it works for me. I’m not here to preach AA but I am here to say that I think it was wrong for them not to encourage me to try every tool out there and find a system that works for me. I also got the vibe from Centered that if I meditated, my obsessive compulsive thoughts would go away. (They never go away completely, I have an incurable disease that is still present even in sobriety) Meditation is a tool in my tool box now however meditation doesn’t always save my life and I needed to find more tools. Centered should have encouraged me to find more tools and also to reach out to other alcoholics who I could relate to. I’m 4 years clean today but I have only been able to stay clean by doing something for my sobriety every day. I needed to find something for after I graduated and I learned that the hard way. I think it should have been stressed that outpatient is just the start of a long road ahead, there is no graduation if you really have the disease. I am grateful there are options out there besides 12 step groups, but this one wasn’t what I needed at the time. If you are struggling I encourage you to try everything you can until you find what works for you.

 I've had a pretty rocky path to recovery including two separate month + long stints in Inpatient Care. Centered was really the beginning of the end with my relationship with substance abuse. I still had a few relapses in their IOP program but with the staff's help each one was a step closer to reducing the condition's hold on me. They always have my best interest at heart and have gone above and beyond ensuring I have the care I need.  Awareness of impressions is something I’ve never really looked into. Reed has opened my eyes to that. I never really took into consideration that I wasn’t very aware of my decisions and would just do whatever I was thinking without really thinking about what I was doing. I have learned to try and listen more and talk less. Thoughts are just thoughts. They most definitely make you aware but they can also have an affect on your decisions if not thought threw. Reed has made all of this very viable in my life. Resolution of conflict can be very confusing when you’re a parent. When I tell my children something and they don’t agree, or they say I’m wrong by looking up if my answer is correct or not I would get angry. Reed has taught me to except the fact that I may be wrong and to reset and understand that the correct answer is what is important. It is important enough to look at my children and say thank you, I did not know that and I’m glad to know it now and move on. Before I would get insulted and act foolishly toward my children and make it out to be more than it needed to be. Reed has been able to show me conflict has a resolution. Substance Use Disorders We Treat at Centered Recovery Programs

Our Roswell center helps people facing a range of substance use disorders. We support individuals who are struggling with alcohol dependence, prescription medication misuse, or illicit drug addiction. Whether someone is dealing with a nightly drinking habit or a dependence on pain pills, we are here to help their recovery with respect and care. We help clients struggling with alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and other substances.

At Centered Recovery Programs, treatment is personalized to each client. Our mindfulness-based, non-12-step approach suits adults who want a different path to sobriety. Therapy, education, and peer support are combined to address both the physical side of addiction and the underlying reasons for using. Here are some of the substance issues we treat:

Benzodiazepines

Benzodiazepines (like Xanax or Valium) can reduce anxiety in the short term but can lead to addiction. People may need higher doses over time and feel intense rebound anxiety when they try to stop. Our program helps individuals safely handle benzodiazepine habit by teaching calming techniques and managing skills for anxiety. We also provide medical support for tapering off these drugs if needed.

Methamphetamine

Methamphetamine is a powerful stimulant that causes extreme energy bursts followed by crashing fatigue. People using meth might stay awake for days and then experience depression or paranoia. In treatment, we focus on restoring a healthy routine and mood stability. Clients learn to handle triggers and cravings for meth through counseling, peer support, and new daily habits that replace the rush of drug use.

Alcohol

Alcohol addiction can sneak up on professionals and parents alike. What starts as a drink to relax can turn into a nightly pattern or binge episodes that harm health and relationships. We help clients break the alcohol cycle in a safe outpatient setting. Through individual therapy and group support, you build new ways to relax and manage that do not revolve around drinking. We also monitor withdrawal risks and make sure each person has the medical oversight they need as they cut back on alcohol.

Marijuana

Regular marijuana use can affect motivation, memory, and mental clarity. Some people depend on cannabis to calm their nerves or escape stress, but then struggle with irritability and restlessness when they try to quit. Our program guides individuals in finding balance without heavy marijuana use. We teach stress management techniques and help clients rediscover activities and interests that make them feel good naturally, so marijuana is no longer needed.

Stimulants

Stimulant misuse, including cocaine or prescription ADHD medications, can affect a person’s life. People sometimes take these drugs to boost focus or confidence, but stimulants can quickly cause irregular sleep, loss of appetite, and mood crashes. We provide a structured path to quit stimulants and regain stability. Clients practice healthier ways to find energy and focus, such as regular exercise and time management skills. Counseling handles any underlying pressures or impulsive tendencies that fueled the stimulant use.

Opioid

Opioid addiction is both a physical and emotional challenge. Painkillers like oxycodone or street opioids like heroin change the brain, making it hard to function without them. Quitting on your own is tough because withdrawal brings pain, nausea, and extreme cravings. In our outpatient program, we support opioid recovery with a combination of therapy and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when suitable. Clients may receive medicines under medical supervision to ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings, while they engage in counseling and group therapy to build a drug-free life.

Level of Care for Mental Health and Substance Use Recovery

Our mental health and wellness Roswell center provides multiple levels of care, from flexible part-time therapy to intensive daily treatment. This range allows clients to start at the right level and step up or down as needed during recovery. Centered Recovery Programs helps you find the proper balance of support. Some clients start in a full-day program, while others do well with a lighter outpatient schedule. You can move between levels as you progress, without any gaps in care. Here are the levels of care we offer:

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP involves attending therapy 3-4 days per week for several hours each day. It provides intensive group and individual counseling while you continue living at home. This level is structured to fit around work or family responsibilities, so you can receive frequent treatment while still maintaining your daily routines.

Outpatient (OP)

Outpatient care is our most flexible level of care. Clients attend therapy only 1-2 times a week. OP works well if you have a stable routine and just need occasional check-ins to stay on track. Many people use OP as a step-down after completing an intensive program.

PHP

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is our most intensive outpatient option. Clients attend full-day treatment at our center, typically 5 days a week, and return home in the evenings. PHP offers a high level of structure similar to inpatient care but without an overnight stay.

MAT

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) uses medications along with therapy to support recovery. We may prescribe FDA-approved medicines to ease withdrawal symptoms or cravings, especially for opioid or alcohol dependence. MAT is always combined with counseling and careful medical supervision

Virtual IOP
