Addiction Treatment Center Opens in Atlanta Area

Growing Population in North Metro Atlanta means desperate need for addiction treatment services

The Metro Atlanta area is home to an estimated 5.8 million people, a population that grows by about 1.5 percent per year. As the population has increased over the years, the number of residents who desperately need treatment for substance abuse has risen exponentially, while the number of addiction treatment centers has not been able to keep up with demand. The National Survey on Drug Use and Health estimated in 2006 that more than 200,000 Georgia state residents needed drug rehab but were unable to get the help they needed. The number of IOP and PHP treatment centers in Atlanta are not nearly enough to keep up with the demand, and thousands of people continue to suffer each year without the right treatment.

Centered Recovery Programs, located in the north metro Atlanta area, wants to help bridge the gap for those in need of treatment. We offer outpatient, intensive outpatient, and full time day treatment to accommodate any schedule for professionals who need to continue to work and parents who need to be home for their children. This flexibility allows addiction treatment to be a reality for some who would not otherwise be able to get the help they need. Our comprehensive, mindfulness-based program combined with individual and group therapy provided by qualified clinicians provides a successful alternative to the 12 step approach and is backed by scientific research.

Centered Recovery Programs is now open and offers outpatient, IOP, and full time day treatment in the communities of Alpharetta, Roswell, John’s Creek, and surrounding areas. Our IOP program was specifically designed to help those who may have previously made attempts at recovery with traditional treatment and been unsuccessful, or those who are looking for a proven, effective alternative to the 12 step treatment plan.
